This project creates a modest family home by occupying and placing a new roof an existing cottage which houses the sleeping accomodation and retains the old front door. The Living volume slides out into the large site creating a patio between the existing stone wall and the kitchen. The new entrance hall makes a clear division between the new and the old, the front and back, the sleeping and the entertaining areas.
